A valid driving licence (Latin script details preferred) and a passport or ID. A credit card is not required on any car on the platform — cash, debit card and crypto are accepted at the supplier. International Driving Permit recommended if your licence is only valid in its country of origin. Copies or electronic licences are not accepted.
Yes — cross-border travel is sold as a paid permit at three tiers: (1) Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Serbia (no Green Card needed); (2) the same plus Albania and Kosovo (Green Card provided); (3) Albania, Kosovo, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, all EU countries and Switzerland (Green Card provided). The right tier for your trip — including the everyday Dubrovnik run via Debeli Brijeg — is shown at checkout and the paperwork is prepared before you collect the car.
Age and required driving experience vary by vehicle. The lowest cars on the platform are available from 18+ years old with 1+ years driving experience — filter by your age and experience to see the cars open to you.
Every booking includes the free Minimum (third-party liability) cover with a typical €100 deposit and VAT. Insurance upgrades are paid extras: Basic from €8/day, Full from €10/day, and a no-deposit Full Plus from €18/day. Bookable add-ons include Personal Accident Insurance and Theft Protection, three child seat sizes (infant, toddler, booster), a wireless hotspot and a local SIM card for Trebinje and Bosnian backcountry day trips, a Winter Pack for February visitors pairing mimosa parades with a snow drive up Orjen, ski/snowboard/roof racks for Mamula-island snorkel kit from Žanjice, and an electric scooter with charger — practical for the staircase old town where the upper lanes are unreachable by car.
We offer delivery to Herceg Novi town centre, the Igalo spa quarter, or a meet-and-greet at Tivat Airport arrivals, 35 km along the bay road, roughly 40 minutes. Choose your preferred location during booking and the agent will confirm the exact meeting point.
Free cancellation is available on selected cars (around 176 of approximately 380, marked clearly in the search results). On those cars, the full advance payment is refunded if you cancel more than 24 hours before pickup; cancellations within 24 hours of pickup are non-refundable.
Most cars hold a €100 deposit at pickup. 47 cars on the platform require no deposit at all, and a further 124 offer a no-deposit option as a paid service. Choosing the Full Plus insurance tier (from €18/day) also waives the deposit.
The Kamenari-Lepetane ferry crosses the Bay of Kotor mouth in 5 minutes, running every 15 minutes. It costs about 5 EUR per car (cash only) and saves 30-45 minutes compared to driving the full bay road to Tivat. From Herceg Novi, drive south to Kamenari (10 minutes) and queue for the next crossing.
